The first thing I do is use Solutions eye make up removing pads from Avon. I find these pads great for removing my waterproof mascara, because even when I've washed my face in the shower I still have a bit mascara on and underneath my lashes, as you can see in the picture above.
A quick wipe on each eyelid and my makeup is gone. They're really moisturising too so they're great if you suffer with dry skin on your face.
Next I use a cleanser and toner from Simple. I've used many cleanser/toner combos in the past and Simple has always come out on top. For the 'simple' fact that they've got no rubbish in them, they're so good for your skin and full of vitamins.
The above picture shows my cotton pads before and after! I see cleansing and toning as a must, because if you think about it, I've already washed my face in the shower and felt clean, but after using a cleanser and toner you can see how much make up and dirt was actually still on my face. Insightful.
Now that my skin in nice and clean and my pores are a bit tighter from toning, I apply It's Potent eye cream from Benefit round the more sensitive skin of the eye area. I only use a small amount but it does the job.
Finally, I use Laura Mercier Repair Creme to moisturise my face. Now this stuff is super nourishing, super thick and not recommended for oily skin. It works best on the driest of skin types but I like to use it before bed so that it sinks in through the night and works to repair my skin.
So there you go! That's my skincare routine, bearing in mind that as I discover new products or run out of my old favourites I do change it every couple of months or so. If you're interested in finding out what other products I recommend for different skin types or you want an update next time I add another product to my routine, leave a comment below and tell me!
