Topshop Autumn/Winter 2011 Campaign
I may be a little late on the mark here, but the Topshop Autumn/Winter campaign images have arrived, and at the time of this going to press, two of the collection 'Glam Underground' and 'New Mod' have been made available on the Topshop website, so you can shop to your heart's content for the upcoming season. You may not want to be thinking about Christmas in July, but the truth is it's here and in full swing. I love seeing designer's collections in spring and summer, it makes me all excited about donning a fur snood and cable knit mittens. Then again, at Christmas all I can think about is pastels and swimsuits...
This campaign is certainly one thing and that is sleek. The collections all mirror each other and aren't a million miles apart, which I think makes it nice to flow from one to another in terms of singular garments and putting outfits together. The Autumn/Winter editorial campaign was styled by Kate Phelan, a long serving Fashion Director at British Vogue. Phelan spent 18 years at Vogue, but in June she decided to trade her coveted job title for the creative director position at Topshop. She has certainly transformed the way the editorials look to the consumer, styled in a much more personal and creative way, she has managed to encompass the importance of layering and manipulating garments to achieve an easy, flowing autumn look. The campaign was shot by Topshop's usual accomplice Josh Olins, who Phelan often worked with at British Vogue before Topshop.
What do you think of the campaign? Here are a selection of the images below. Let us know, leave a comment.
