Toni & Guy Electrical
I've never been one of the lucky girls to own a pair of GHD's, I used to steal my mum's from time to time and wished for my own to create that poker straight style I craved so much! I've been through lots of cheaper alternatives in previous years, more in the £30-£60 price range and whilst they do their job, they've never been able to compete with the GHD level of expertise. I wondered why no other brand could quite perfect this talent, that was until I got my lucky paws on some Toni & Guy straighteners.
The Toni & Guy Electrical range of straighteners is a breath of fresh air in the hair styling world, prices for straighteners range from £34.99 to £69.99 and believe me, they do a comparable if not better job that GHDs.
I've been using the 'Signature' iron (£69.99 RRP) which was designed by Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck herself, Toni & Guy’s Global Creative Director. Sacha has self tested and reworked this personal line of straighteners, saying ‘I love this straightener as you can really tailor the heat requirement to your hair texture with ease.’She's spot on, the heat tailoring element is a great addition, it means if you only want to lightly straighten your hair you can switch it down low, and if you're after super straight locks you can pump up the volume.
Here's where 10 minutes of styling time got me, bear in mind that I've got super curly, frizzy hair!
