Burberry Hits Beijing

Burberry are paying homage to British music, and fashion in their latest attempt to take over the technological fashion scene.  The event will also celebrate the opening of Burberry's Beijing flagship store and exciting things will be streamed live globally and to 50 Burberry stores as they occur.

"Burberry will become the first luxury brand to use groundbreaking virtual image technology, combining live models with animated footage and life-like holograms with a fully immersive audio, visual and sensory experience connecting the physical and digital."

Christopher Bailey will be hosting the event from the Beijing Television Centre on a stage that broadcasts to over 90 million people a day! British band Keane will be performing at the event, which will be their first gig in China to date. Tom Chaplin, lead singer of Keane said:  "I met Christopher Bailey a few years ago. He's a big fan of Keane and I'm a big fan of what he does for Burberry so we hit it off. Christopher suggested that we should team up to create an incredible event combining music, new technology and fashion in one of the world's most vibrant and exciting cities, Beijing. It'll be our first trip to China, and we hope to put on a show that will surprise and delight the folks of that fascinating and brilliant country." The event will be streamed live on Burberry's website so if you can't make it down to one of their main stores there's no need to worry, you can watch all the action from the comfort of your own home. Watch this video as an introduction to what you're letting yourself in for tomorrow...
